On Saturday 23 February 1991, a group of 10 people climbed the stairs of Notary Enrico Bellezza's office at 6 Via Garibaldi in Novara to sign the Founding Deeds of the Novara Europa Association.
The ten signatory members were: Giuseppe Frego, Valter Codini, Carlo Pennarola, Gerardo Ricciardi, Giovanni Brustia, Carlo Bardesono, Angelo Ferrari, Liliana Battaglia, Roberto Cunego and Vincenzo Tarulli. That same afternoon in front of the notary, the Board of Directors composed of the 10 founders unanimously elected: President Giuseppe Frego, Vice-President Valter Codini, Secretary General Carlo Pennarola, Treasurer Gerardo Ricciardi.
The objectives stated in the Statute, still valid today, are:
- Deepen knowledge of the transformations that theEuropean Act entails in the economic and social lif of European nations;
- investigate the specific effects that these transformations will induce in the Novara area (territorial economic development);
- promote the growth of the entire Novara community through cultural and training activities, also by launching special 'ad hoc' projects.
